The sun came out on Dad’s last day before heading back to work on Wednesday. We went down to Kits Point for some bright sun and strong winds, (The wind makes Charlotte giggle). There’s a little path in front of the Maritime Museum that loops past the boat launch with benches over looking the West End—one of our favourite spots. We watched some hearty souls kayaking and seagulls suspended in mid air above the point. We stopped by the swings at Kits Beach for a bit of cold weather swing time before returning home for an epic nap.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
A few photos from Christmas morning at around 7:30 AM. Hope everyone had a good holiday, looking forward to the New Year!
Just Right
Found our favourite beach in Kailua today. Absolutely perfect for our little sand flea Charlotte. We’re going back tomorrow for our last full day before returning to Vancouver, going to make it count. Where did the time go?

Jellyfish on the Menu
We’re in the midst of some strong winds that have brought all sorts of sea creatures to Waikiki including box jellyfish. We stayed out of the water today but watched sea turtles from our balcony jostle in the waves and kept busy exploring all sorts of exciting food. Friday will be much the same with Saturday returning to ideal conditions when we’ll head back up island for more beach magic. Until then, then.

Some scenes from the North Shore yesterday.
Aloha
We are in Hawaii and having a glorious time. Charlotte swam in good ole’ Waikiki yesterday followed by a Pina Colada at the classic Banyen Tree Bar. The hotel was built in 1901 and the Banyen Tree planted in 1904. She had Mahi Mahi from a shrimp truck last night for dinner and is off to the North Shore to catch some tasty waves today.
