A little bit of fun from Fathers Day.

Birthday Brunch
Had a lovely belated birthday brunch with Gaga and Nana up in Kerrisdale today. Nothing beats prosecco in the garden! Not even being sprayed with a hose by your mom!
Pie
Stopped into the Savary Island Pie Company in West Van yesterday… Enough said.
Harvest
We have a new local grocer just down the road appropriately named Harvest. They focus on truly local produce from the Sole Food city farms project and we picked up some beautiful fresh kale. They offer local grains and all sorts of good things from our city including organic chicken sticky buns! Super friendly staff, well worth a visit.
Going Dutch
Charlotte had a brunch date with two friends she last saw in Amsterdam. Piper & Josie showed up with their Mom & Dad on bicycles no less. Charlotte had a great time and so did the parents. Cherry pancakes and Prosecco were on the menu and fun was had by all.
Winter Farmers Market
Every Saturday up in the Nat Bailey parking lot off Main Street you’ll find us buying local organic goodness. Comforting to know that the Farmers Market scene in Vancouver is year round. Details here.
BC Day on the Bikes
We spent the entire BC Day long weekend on our bikes. Saturday up to the Trout Lake Farmers Market, Sunday up to The Bay for towels and a saucepan (Jody’s panniers and basket are being well used) then Monday to Stanley Park and Kits Beach. From checking Douglas Coupland’s Digital Orca to grabbing some sustainable BC Seafood at the Feastro Truck to an evening picnic in Vanier Park to a fabulous Zuchinni Carbonara pasta at homeālife is truly better on a bike.
