Had a quick walk along a section of the North Shore Spirit Trail in North Vancouver today. We’re getting cycling back into our lives and this trail looks like a step in the right direction. Will be learning more as the trail is supposedly expanding all the way to Horseshoe Bay. Currently the North Vancouver portions of the Spirit Trail are well defined complete with dog parks, pedestrian definitions and outdoor public furniture. The connection to West Van over the Capilano River feels dangerous and poorly defined. Seems like West Van needs to put some money towards infrastructure and planning instead of token signs pointing bikes and pedestrians through Park Royal! More to come.
