First stop after Amsterdam was Normandy. Incredible beauty, lovely mussels and an over arching sense of melancholy made for a bitter sweet stay. We stayed at a lovely B&B in Bayeux that had resident bunny ‘Lily’ living there. Charlotte’s jet lag and current animal obsession kept us and Lily busy… Will have some Lomos of the town up this week.
It’s 5:52 AM Friday morning, Charlotte has been up since 2:45 AM and we’re off to Paris on the 8:00 AM train. Jody’s jumping in the shower and I’m blogging in bed with a glass of red wine and a very social young Charlotte beside me. We visited friends, ate beautiful food and walked and walked and walked. Some photos from the past 48 hours, so much fun.
We arrived in Amsterdam today after a long two flight trip. Charlotte was a champ and made it through without incident, lots of nice comments from fellow travellers. Jody and I however, are a little destroyed! We have lots planned for the two days in Holland before we take the train to Paris. So far, the food has been great and the bike culture inspiring. Here are some recents snaps with my little Russian film camera, the Lomo. I used a Lomo for ages but then switched over to digital. Here’s an old Lomo feature I took part in back in 2002, well worth a look. Thought it would be fun to shoot some more film. Working on a dedicated Lomo site so stay tuned.
We popped over to Maclean Park this morning for ‘Strathcona 125’ where they were offering free pony rides. Couldn’t resist as Charlotte had her new wellies on…
We hit two birds (caw) with one stone this morning by way of brunch with Gaga and some network upgrades courtesy of our good friend Arliss. Charlotte picked flowers, we sipped Prosecco and Arliss set us a new wireless photo server for Gaga. Productive and delicious!
