Had a lovely brunch with Grandma today at Janine’s place in Kerrisdale. Such beautiful food and an incredible garden. A small bungalow and mature garden, who could ask for anything more? (Those are hand peeled oranges…)

Charlotte has been spending some time working out at the new Creekside Community Centre at the Olympic Village. Despite all of the controversy surrounding the Olympic Village, the experience is good. Great accessibility and water access. Everyone down there is on a bike, on a run or getting into a kayak.
Caught a few snaps of Charlotte playing in the evening light.
A little late on Charlotte’s monthly photo but here she is looking demure at 18 months. Can’t believe she’s almost 2.
We got up early Friday and headed south to the Reifel Bird Sanctuary. It’s easy to forget how beautiful it is out there especially this time of year. The birds were busy and Charlotte loved it.
Dad took the day off today and swiftly took Charlotte & Nana down to Granville Island. We stopped at all the good spots including Oyama. If you don’t have any of Oyama’s green peppercorn pate in your fridge right now, do you and yours a favour and buy some! Also super excited to see that Organic Acres has expanded it’s repetoire of organic produce. Such a civilized way to start an April morning and a great time was had by all. (Weekday mornings are the best time to go.)
We popped up to QE Park on Saturday for a visit to the Bloedel Conservatory—hadn’t been inside since we were kids. Van Dusen Gardens has recently taken it over and it was great to see it full of people. Charlotte really loved the waterfall, koi and tropical birds flying around. She does a great fish dance if you ask her…
