Property of Charlotte Daisy

Charlotte was lucky enough to have had her own customized crate made up for her. Her pal Vince made some of these hand made crates for a new Gastown retailer and had one left for Charlotte. Vince came over and hand stenciled her official stamp on it. Vince is a really talented, this design doesn’t use any nails or fittings, it’s all wood with leather handles. Lucky girl!

Chalk Wall

Charlotte’s been enjoying her chalk wall up in the loft. Such a simple idea with huge potential for self expression! We got the idea from Charlotte’s camping buddies Dan & Tan. All it took was a small bucket of chalk board paint and some masking tape. Charlotte might take part in next years East Side Culture Crawl as a resident artist in Strathcona. Lots of fun!

Ambleside

Took Ambleside for a spin today. Sunshine, hail and fresh Pacific air was on order. There’s something really uplifting about a southwest perspective, a view not often found in Vancouver. You can see melted hail drops on Charlotte’s face as she squints into the sun—simple things.

We’ll Walk in the Sunshine

The sun came out on Dad’s last day before heading back to work on Wednesday. We went down to Kits Point for some bright sun and strong winds, (The wind makes Charlotte giggle). There’s a little path in front of the Maritime Museum that loops past the boat launch with benches over looking the West End—one of our favourite spots. We watched some hearty souls kayaking and seagulls suspended in mid air above the point. We stopped by the swings at Kits Beach for a bit of cold weather swing time before returning home for an epic nap.
