Charlotte hits Stanley Park

A true west coast kid, Charlotte hit Stanley Park for her first time today. The sun was out and we had the park to ourselves. I remember coming here as a kid and loving it. She slept the whole way through but that fresh air and sunshine did her good. Note some of the old Zoo exhibit architecture. We finished up the outing with some fish & chips from the Raincity Grill’s take out window. All Ocean Wise™ and packaged in biodegradable containers complete with bamboo forks. Where else in Vancouver can you get a chef prepared seafood lunch for $10? Love it.

Expressionism

We were having a fun time on the sofa until things turned sour. It’s amazing what a little gas can do to a girl. One burp after this shoot and she was back to being lovely. It’s amazing to witness the intention of expression as she approaches one month old.

Florence Nightin’K’ale

Grandma K has been our Florence Nightingale these past few weeks. Showing up with homemade Coq au Vin, bottles of wine and organic milk. What would we do without family!? It’s been especially helpful since I had to return to work! Some pics of Grandma K with an alert Charlotte. Check out that neck control, not bad for 20 days old!

Hey bartender…

Growing every day, Charlotte is feediing like a champ. We decided to bottle some of the good stuff so Dad could have a turn and give Mom a break. Charlotte is very social and has discovered the luxurious expanse of our bed. We give her loads of cuddle time in the bed then it’s off to the bassinet for sleep. These photos were taken this morning right after a bath. We’ll be saving bath times for the evening as she was out like a light!
