Surveillez la bicyclette

Charlotte’s first stroll down Spanish Bank West, also her first French film. Inspired by Mom’s lovely beret and the black and white footage, this clip captures Spanish West in January with a French twist. There’s music in this one so turn your speakers up.

Petit déjeuner à Provence

Open at 9AM, Provence Marinaside is a great place to have breakfast with a baby. It’s always empty at that time with spacious seating and loads of natural light. You can get in and out before the Yaletown ‘massive’ show up. We took Charlotte for breakfast this morning then had a visit with Grandma C, all this after going to a banging Christmas party off Commercial Drive last night. We’re off to a duck taco party later this afternoon in Kits—Charlotte is quite the socialite!. Photos to follow.

Aunt Pat Brings the Belvedere

Charlotte finally got to meet long time Froome cohort Aunt Patricia today. Patrica brought some great baby advice along with some Polish Vodka. Something tells me that Patricia has done this before… Pat also brought along a super cute ‘Lotsa’ painting for Charlotte’s room from her daughters fantastic Cici Art Factory—Thanks Pat! Afterwards we put on some woolies and went for a walk around the park for Charlotte’s first snow.

Mork calling Orson

Thought these great little leg warmers deserved a blog post. Along with Grandma C’s knitted red boots, this outfit turns Charlotte into a little fashion plate. I think Bjork could pull this look off. Check the lighting on the last photo, the sun was so bright it looks like studio lighting. Nice shooting Jody!

Charlotte hits Stanley Park

A true west coast kid, Charlotte hit Stanley Park for her first time today. The sun was out and we had the park to ourselves. I remember coming here as a kid and loving it. She slept the whole way through but that fresh air and sunshine did her good. Note some of the old Zoo exhibit architecture. We finished up the outing with some fish & chips from the Raincity Grill’s take out window. All Ocean Wise™ and packaged in biodegradable containers complete with bamboo forks. Where else in Vancouver can you get a chef prepared seafood lunch for $10? Love it.
