MOA

Spent a rainy Saturday morning up at one of our favourite places, the Museum of Anthropology. Designed of course by the late great Arthur Erickson, the quality of natural light in the museum makes even the greyest day feel positive. Thank you Arthur! The Haida and Coast Salish artifacts never cease to impress and Bill Reid’s work is always incredible. I’m not sure what’s more impressive, the artifacts inside or the building itself. They both work beautifully together to a create truly special piece of Vancouver.

Lomos

Here are some recents snaps with my little Russian film camera, the Lomo. I used a Lomo for ages but then switched over to digital. Here’s an old Lomo feature I took part in back in 2002, well worth a look. Thought it would be fun to shoot some more film. Working on a dedicated Lomo site so stay tuned.

Tuesday Morning at the Market

Dad took the day off today and swiftly took Charlotte & Nana down to Granville Island. We stopped at all the good spots including Oyama. If you don’t have any of Oyama’s green peppercorn pate in your fridge right now, do you and yours a favour and buy some! Also super excited to see that Organic Acres has expanded it’s repetoire of organic produce. Such a civilized way to start an April morning and a great time was had by all. (Weekday mornings are the best time to go.)
