It’s been a really busy winter and as a result our blogging has slowed down. We’re rounding the corner on Coast Modern Film and look forward to an exciting Spring and Summer. Will be making more of an effort to keep you up to date on our little Charlotte. Here she is catching the sunset last week down at Kits Beach. Such a nice beach (in the winter).

Winter Farmers Market
Every Saturday up in the Nat Bailey parking lot off Main Street you’ll find us buying local organic goodness. Comforting to know that the Farmers Market scene in Vancouver is year round. Details here.
Equestrian Order
We popped over to Maclean Park this morning for ‘Strathcona 125’ where they were offering free pony rides. Couldn’t resist as Charlotte had her new wellies on…
BC Day on the Bikes
We spent the entire BC Day long weekend on our bikes. Saturday up to the Trout Lake Farmers Market, Sunday up to The Bay for towels and a saucepan (Jody’s panniers and basket are being well used) then Monday to Stanley Park and Kits Beach. From checking Douglas Coupland’s Digital Orca to grabbing some sustainable BC Seafood at the Feastro Truck to an evening picnic in Vanier Park to a fabulous Zuchinni Carbonara pasta at home—life is truly better on a bike.
Bike Route to Trout Lake
Rode our bikes up to the Trout Lake Farmers Market this morning. Check the neighbourhood book exchange found on the Woodland Bike Route. So many good things happening in East Van including the free Bike Valet. Charlotte ate 5 local bio-dynamic Apricots in as many minutes.
Saddle Up

We managed to hit the sea wall at Science World, a few playgrounds along the water in Yaletown then a direct line into Stanley Park. So much fresh air and things to see.
Bloedel Conservatory
We popped up to QE Park on Saturday for a visit to the Bloedel Conservatory—hadn’t been inside since we were kids. Van Dusen Gardens has recently taken it over and it was great to see it full of people. Charlotte really loved the waterfall, koi and tropical birds flying around. She does a great fish dance if you ask her…
