Took Ambleside for a spin today. Sunshine, hail and fresh Pacific air was on order. There’s something really uplifting about a southwest perspective, a view not often found in Vancouver. You can see melted hail drops on Charlotte’s face as she squints into the sun—simple things.

We’ll Walk in the Sunshine
The sun came out on Dad’s last day before heading back to work on Wednesday. We went down to Kits Point for some bright sun and strong winds, (The wind makes Charlotte giggle). There’s a little path in front of the Maritime Museum that loops past the boat launch with benches over looking the West End—one of our favourite spots. We watched some hearty souls kayaking and seagulls suspended in mid air above the point. We stopped by the swings at Kits Beach for a bit of cold weather swing time before returning home for an epic nap.
Winter is Here
Charlotte got a chance to wear some of her Arctic gear this weekend, -3 already!!! We had fun on the swings, coffee at the Wilder Snail, Dim-Sum at the Kirin, Stanley Park for a walk then Noodle Box for dinner. We love winter (but not as much as our upcoming trip to Hawaii on Dec 5)…
Skunk Problem
There’s been a recent skunk problem in some of Vancouver’s parks. On Halloween we photographed a skunk that had taken over the playground at our beloved McClean Park. It’s just not safe to go out anymore…
Water Worlds
Had a classic September Saturday today—a little rain a little sun. Started at the Aquarium for a little lunch and a walk in Stanley Park then to the iconic Aquatic Centre, designed in 1974 by Duncan McNab for a swim. Finished the day at Whole Foods for dinner and groceries. We are all pooped.
Summer’s Here
Summer is finally here and it’s hot! We’re lucky enough to live next door to a water park so we headed over there to escape the heat. Charlotte is showing off her teeth in the last photo.
Spanish Banks
Bit of late post but here are some pics from our walk at Spanish Banks last weekend. The light was amazing!
