We popped down to Seattle on Friday and managed to hit some of the city’s high notes. We stayed at the Fairmont which dates back to the roaring 20s. Charlotte loves room service so entertaining this kid is pretty easy. We had an incredible dinner in Capitol Hill at Anchovies & Olives. Saturday morning we walked from the hotel to the classic 60s Seattle Monorail which shot us over to the Space Needle and EMP then over to the Dale Chihuly Garden. Had dinner Saturday night at Shuckers on account of some rain and stayed cozy. Sunday morning after breakfast in bed we went to the Elliot Bay Book Company for Cortado’s and scones before browsing their incredible book selection. Stopped by the beautiful Magnolia Library designed by Paul Hayden Kirk with furniture by George Nakashima for a look before popping into Dick’s Drive In for an authentic 1950s burger and fries before heading home. Epic weekend and we look forward to returning soon.
