We popped up to QE Park on Saturday for a visit to the Bloedel Conservatory—hadn’t been inside since we were kids. Van Dusen Gardens has recently taken it over and it was great to see it full of people. Charlotte really loved the waterfall, koi and tropical birds flying around. She does a great fish dance if you ask her…

Hold Your Hand
We all walked up to Commercial Drive this morning to get some shoes for Charlotte and have brunch at Little Nest. The neighbourhood is alive with activity, birds, blossoms and flowers. Charlotte still insists on holding our hands but is quite a determined little walker.
Wooly Hat & A Midget
Charlotte and Dad went for a brisk stroll up to Commercial Drive this morning for a coffee. Right outside of the classic Octagon Motors was a pristine MG Midget. Charlotte thought the classic British roadster complimented her hand made wooly hat and scarf and insisted on stopping for a photo.
Sleepwalking
Charlotte didn’t hit any of her naps on Wednesday so Dad took her for a walk around the Sea Wall to get some sunshine and fresh air. She was out like a light before we even hit Science World. Works like a charm.
Water Worlds
Had a classic September Saturday today—a little rain a little sun. Started at the Aquarium for a little lunch and a walk in Stanley Park then to the iconic Aquatic Centre, designed in 1974 by Duncan McNab for a swim. Finished the day at Whole Foods for dinner and groceries. We are all pooped.
Danger Bay starring Charlotte Daisy
Actually Buccaneer Bay on the Sunshine Coast. We had a lovely trip to a friend’s cabin and Charlotte enjoyed her first boat ride, clam digging and lots of beach time. Thank you Mike B! We will never be the sames.
Bruiser
Charlotte got her first black eye while practicing crawling. Probably more traumatic for us than her. Once we made sure she was OK we got out the cameras!
